What matters to humans doesn't matter to God.

Do not be afraid; just have faith. - MARK 5:36

How well do I balance the needs of the popular or famous and the anonymous or poor in my life? Do I care more about those in tabloid's than those around me? How can I help those who need help?

Grant me the grace, Holy Spirit, to see beyond the surface and into the heart of every person I meet.

I beg of you, make me clean.

It happened that there was a man full of
leprosy in one of the towns where Jesus was;
and when he saw Jesus,
he bowed, begged him, and said,
“Lord, if you choose, you can make me clean.”

Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said,
“I do choose. Be made clean.”
Immediately the leprosy left him.
Then he ordered him to tell no one, but
“Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing
what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.”

The report about him spread all the more,
and great crowds assembled to listen to him
and to be cured of their diseases,
but he would withdraw to deserted places and pray.

How am I like the leper reaching out to Jesus to be made whole? Full of the love of God.
Can I sense Jesus reaching out to touch me, to make me clean?
Will I be open to Jesus making me clean with his boundless generosity?

We all are Jesus' family

God is nothing but love.

Dare to give all for love.

Give of yourself without fear.

Is there a conflict in my life between the demands of my family, my job, my activities, and the demands of God?

Who are my mother and my brothers? - Mark 3:33

Dearest Mary and Joseph, as the earthly mother and father you called Jesus son. Help us to gain the love and faith you so perfectly possess. Mary and Joseph would you ask the Lord, for me, let me know love so I may clear the conflicts in my life.

Beloved, let us love one another,

because love is of God;

everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Whoever does not love does not know God,

for God is love.

God's love was revealed among us in this way:

God sent his only Son into the world

so that we might live through him.

In this is love:

not that we loved God, but that he loved us

and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our
sins. - 1 Jn 4:7-10

How might God's love be revealed through me and those I meet? Love can be expressed in many ways. Love is made real in what we say and in what we do and in how we treat other people.

In times when I am feeling weary and restless or even distent from God, when I don't feel love. I must remember it is God's saving action, not my action, that really counts.

How might I respond to the God of love, now?
